SASH CORD

Sash cord, also known as "operating line" or "theatrical cord," has a wide range of practical applications: For windows, sash cord is used to counterbalance double-hung windows, allowing them to be raised and lowered easily. The cord is housed in channels behind beadings and runs over a pulley wheel at the top of the window frame. In the entertainment industry, sash cord is a staple for general tie-downs, rigging, and more, used in theater, studio, and stage productions. Beyond windows and entertainment, sash cord can be utilized for a variety of tie-down jobs where secure knots are needed, as a strong clothesline, in arts and crafts projects, for camping gear, repairing wooden windows, awnings, hammocks, and draperies.
