Saroon - Vintage Medallion Rug - 6'5 X 10'5

This hand-woven, one-of-a-kind beige rug captures true Anatolian heritage with a flatwoven construction, faded patina, and distinct abrash detail. Featuring an overdyed finish, low-pile no-shed profile, and high-traffic durable build, it is layering-friendly and underfloor-heating safe. Enjoy the reversible weave, soft-touch distressed character, ghost-pattern, 70s craftsmanship, cotton-polyester blend, single-piece artisanal quality, and sun-bleached tones. About This Style Vintage rugs evoke an antique aesthetic through faded tones, abrash colour variation, and worn surface treatments typical of mid-20th-century Anatolian weaving. Distressed rugs often undergo an overdying process, which leaves ghost traces of the original pattern beneath a saturated colour wash. Medallion designs feature a central geometric motif, while floral patterns incorporate botanical vines and blossoms, reflecting a blend of traditional Ottoman vocabulary and regional 20th-century craft. Where It Works The flatwoven construction of this rug makes it suitable for high-traffic areas such as hallways, entryways, and kitchens. Its low profile is ideal for layering over larger rugs and ensures compatibility with underfloor heating systems. Why Choose This Rug? — Features a central medallion motif surrounded by intricate floral elements and a faded, distressed aesthetic. — Constructed from a cotton and polyester blend, offering the breathability of natural fibre with the added durability and moisture resistance of synthetic materials. — The no-pile, flatwoven construction allows the rug to lie flat against the floor, ensuring it remains stable and easy to maintain. — These rugs reference the Anatolian hand-weaving tradition; each piece is one-of-a-kind, with minor variations in colour and pattern that are characteristic of vintage-style production. — Designed for longevity, this rug is built for high-traffic areas and is fully compatible with underfloor heating.
