Palo Santo wood has been burned for centuries to clear spaces of bad energy and to welcome good luck. CANDLE CARE: -Allow at least 3-4 hours for your candle's first burn as the wax needs to melt to the edges of the jar and create a "full melt pool".  Candle wax has a "memory" and subsequent burns will only melt as far as the first burn was allowed.   -Trim your wick to at least 1/4 of an inch before each lighting to prevent flames that are too large, smoking or flickering excessively.     -We use raw cotton wicks that are not pre-treated or pre-waxed and are designed to curl and "self trim".  These natural wicks may lean and cause the wax to melt unevenly initially,  but will level out after the first couple of burns as the wick descends further into the jar. -Do not burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time. -Cease burning your candle when only 1/4 of an inch of candle wax remains to prevent the bottom of the jar from getting too hot and damaging surfaces.   -Never leave a candle unattended or alone with children or pets.   -Never burn a candle near flammable items or surfaces. -100% soy wax is a natural product and can change color or leave a rough surface after a burn.  That is normal and does not need any attention.
