Santina™ Cherry Tree

Cherry Variety Produces Juicy Fruit Early in Season Want to enjoy the crisp and slightly-sweet taste of summer cherries early on? The Santina™ Cherry Tree is the earliest ripening fruit tree of its kind! It’s known for blooming as early as the first week in April and producing fruit through late summer. The Santina™ Cherry Tree not only provides you with a long harvest window, but its weeping habit and heart-shaped cherries make an attractive addition to any landscape! The crack-resistant flesh allows the Santina™ Cherry to hold its beautiful heart shape - meaning, no more mushy fruit for you! In addition, this tree is fairly easy to maintain as it’s self-fertile and doesn’t require much water. Simply plant, mulch, and watch these delicious cherries grow!   Want to pick fruit right from your own yard this summer? Then, hurry and get your Santina™ Cherry Tree before it’s gone! Planting & Care 1. Planting: Plant your Santina™ Cherry Tree in organic soil, manure, or compost. 2. Watering: This cherry tree will thrive with a normal amount of rainfall. However, be sure to water thoroughly if planted in a dry climate. 3. Pruning: Remove dead branches and weeds in late winter to promote future growth. 4. Fertilizing: Get your soil tested before fertilizing in the early spring. Use a low-nitrogen fertilizer and be careful not to over fertilize. 5. Pollination: This variety is self-pollinating, so you only need one tree to produce fruit. However, planting multiple Santina™ Cherry Trees together will help to produce a  higher yield.
