For optimal results, incorporate Sand-Less into a feeding regimen with ample forage and water to ensure the best results. Designed for horses who are kept in sand paddocks, fed from the ground or grazing in sandy fields, Sand-Less is a nutrient-dense whole foods based monthly intestinal purge. Flax, tapioca pearls and chia work together to create an incredibly effective sand removal remedy while delivering an abundance of nutrients to the system which promote a flourishing digestive tract and the optimal health of the horse. Fennel compliments the ingredients above as an ancient intestinal remedy that soothes sensitive stomachs, encourages the secretion of saliva and gastric juices while promoting healthy intestinal flora. For Pregnant mares... contact Getty Equine Nutrition for the Fennel-free version *It is vital to note that Sand-Less (and as any other sand removal product) is designed to work along with a feeding regime that provides enough forage to the horse. Fresh water and fresh forage are essential for healthy digestion and removal of sediment from the digestive tract. A horse who is fed minimal forage or on a restricted forage diet will not benefit as much from a sand removal product as a horse who has access to plenty of forage and fresh water. INGREDIENTS: Gold flax seeds, chia, fennel, tapioca pearls Cold-Milled Gold Flax Seeds: The high mucilage (soluble fiber) content of flax swells up to 20 times in volume when exposed to moisture and takes on a jelly-like consistency which traps and suspends sand, carrying it to the top of the cecum and out of the body. Flax is easily digested, non-irritating and contains protein and all of the amino acids required for a strong and healthy equine!  Chia Seeds: Just like the flax seeds and tapioca pearls, chia becomes highly gelatinous when exposed to moisture. In fact, chia seeds have 2x the mucilage content than flax seeds do. The high mucilage content of chia adds additional bulk to the hindgut which ensures the cecum is full and that sand/dirt is removed. Chia also had a long and bountiful list of health benefits which can be found here.  Tapioca Pearls: When exposed to moisture, tapioca pearls expand, become “gummy” and help to pick up and sweep the sand and dirt out of the intestines. Tapioca pearls are also fortified with iron and cooper, both essential for blood health.  Fennel: Not only does fennel smell delicious, it is also highly nutritious! Fennel is an antispasmodic, making it a tiny but mighty intestinal remedy that soothes sensitive stomachs. Fennel also encourages the secretion of saliva and gastric juices while promoting healthy intestinal flora... and much more!  Although we use human food grade ingredients our products are not intended for human consumption.  Twenty Four Carrots is ALWAYS FREE from GMO’s, soy, added sugars, corn, grains, molasses and fillers.    Other supplements from Twenty Four Carrots: Balanced Mare Blend Diamond Detox Inner Glow Omega Booster Pure Allergy Relief Super Food Horse Treats - Extra Low Starch __________________________ Feeding guidelines For optimal results activate ingredients with a splash of water and add to feed once daily for 7 days. ** 4 lbs bag lasts an average size horse exactly one purge of 7 days. 20 lbs bulk comes in one big bag and equals 5 small bags of Sand-Less (5 x 7 day purge for an average size horse up to 1200 lbs) Daily dosage: Pony <800 lbs 1 cup Horse <1350 lbs 2 cups Horse >1400 lbs 3 cups Repeat monthly or as needed.
