This wine is a masterful blend of Blaufrankisch, hand-picked from the rolling hills where this esteemed variety originally flourishes, and a touch of cool-climate Syrah. This has enough structure to be super food-friendly. Red & black fruit, spice, & subtle pepper—great with a chill! The careful selection from these historic slopes lends a unique character to the wine, capturing the essence of its birthplace. Spontaneous fermentation, 19-24 days maceration, with native yeast in open-top fermentors. Aged in French oak for 14 months. Pairing: BBQ & potluck fare, roast poultry, pizza.
