San Juan Worm

This pattern is sometimes controversial because it has the word "worm" in it. But this is not the garden variety type worm, but an aquatic worm, which there are many and fish do eat them. If you have never seen an aquatic worm, trying taking a small net into a muddy/sandy portion of a river bed, and you will probably find many!  Fishermen often over look worms, at least fly fishermen do.  Don't make that mistake.
