Antique 1800s German Sammelband – Custom Bound Collection of Piano Sheet Music

This antique 1800s German Sammelband is a custom-bound collection of various pieces of piano sheet music gathered together into a single hardcover volume. During the 19th century, it was common for musicians and families to purchase individual pieces of sheet music and bring them to a local bookbinder to be custom-bound into a single volume, creating a Sammelband or collected music volume. The left inside cover features period handwriting, which may document previous ownership and dates.
