Salpico Platter - Blue Dots

A fantastically large plate, the Salpico Platter is a beautiful handmade terracotta serving platter measuring 40cm in diameter and finished in a white base glaze before a blue rim and blue dots are hand painted on. The Casa Cubista ceramics are all made in the coastal town of Olhao in Portugal by a family that been in the pottery business for 200 years. Ruis throws the pottery on his wheel before it is hand painted by his aunt Regina. Ideal for big meals with family and friends, this stunning platter is great for serving large salads and other dishes. The large platter will add something unique and special to the table setting. When the colourful serving platter is not needed to serve your culinary delights, it makes a beautiful feature display whether on your table, kitchen island or elsewhere in the house. Designed by Casa Cubista, this bold and contemporary tableware collection brings together traditional craftsmanship with modern designs. Before first use, wash the platter with hot soapy water, rinse well and allow to air dry. To maintain the integrity of the platter (i.e. glaze and colour) it is not recommended that the pitcher is used in a dishwasher or microwave. As each piece is handmade there may be slight changes in each piece and slight colour variations, which is indicative of the material and the handmade process. Some marks in the glaze are natural and expected, as is some crazing. This will not affect the use or durability of the platter.  COLOURS Terracotta base. White glaze with a blue rim and blue dots.
