*NEW* Salomon S/Lab MNC Shift2 13 Binding

This is the brand-new, redesigned Shift2 binding. The Shift Touring Binding rocked the ski world when it debuted in 2018, and it's back and redesigned for the 24-25 ski season with more lateral stiffness compared to previous generations. The Shift Touring Binding rocked the ski world when it debuted in 2018, and it's back and redesigned for the 24-25 ski season with more lateral stiffness compared to previous generations. Other updates include new adjustability on the AFD (anti-friction-device), which allows it to work with ISO-normed Alpine, GripWalk, and Touring boot soles. The brake lever has been redesigned to provide a more reliable locking function and eliminate unintentional release. The Shift binding was a totally new concept developed from scratch by Salomon athlete Cody Townsend and binding designer Benoit Sublet. It's toe piece changes from a low- profile conventional toe in ski mode to a fully "pinned" tech toe for skinning. The Shift marks a revolution in both skiing and touring performance relative to frame AT bindings. It's an excellent choice for those who want to ski lift-served terrain and true backcountry on a single setup. This binding requires a special boot equipped with metal pin sockets. Size: Choose a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width. Details New touring binding design for the best of both worlds Toe piece has traditional tech pins for efficiency on the uphill, changes into a conventional downhill toe for the descent Heel and toe piece levers allow for easy transition between modes Solid heel with retractable brakes for security on the descent Toe piece is Multi-Norm Certified for use with different boot types Must have boot with tech toe fittings for use in tour mode Tech Specs Release Rating: 6-13 Boot Compatibility: Multi-Norm Certified (ISO 5355 Alpine, ISO 9523 Touring, WTR, GripWalk) Brake Width: 100mm, 110mm Brakes Included: yes Safety Features: TUV certified Heel Elevators: 2 degree and 10 degree Weight: 920 grams per binding. Even more Specs TRANSMISSION - Power Block AFD: A new micrometric, height-adjustable AFD with a single-block aluminum insert that supports the boot and provides 30% more lateral stiffness compared to previous generations. SAFETY - Sliding Toe pedal: A specific pedal mounted on a spring that allows lateral movements and re-centering. It allows any normed boot to release out of the binding in case of a lateral fall. EASE OF USE - Easy climbing aids manipulation: Ensures easy switch with the poles between climbing aid positions. POWER - XL Wings: Long wings that envelop the tip of the boot perfectly in order to provide increased power transmission and confidence in freeride bindings. POWER - Low profile Chassis: Low stand height for increased terrain feedback and enhanced power transmission. SAFETY - +Elastic travel: The ultimate elastic travel on the wings. It holds the boot back when faced with bigger shocks and minimizes the risk of pre-release. EASE OF USE - Crampon system: Possibility to attach dedicated crampons to the binding. MAIN MATERIAL - Aluminium: A rigid and strong construction that allows enhanced power transmission. MAIN MATERIAL - Carbon-loaded PA: A very lightweight and resistant alloy of carbon and polyamid to fulfill the need for very light weight, extreme resistance and rigidity. TOE - Hybrid Toe: Ultimate elastic travel allowing for the boots to be held back when shocks get bigger. Compatible with all the normed boots with no compromise on safety or performance. HEEL - Hybrid Heel: Aluminum lever for a rigid construction allowing enhanced power transmission. Made with Carbon-Infused PA for a light, yet strong construction. COMPATIBILITY & NORMS: MN - Adult COMPATIBILITY & NORMS - TÜV: Binding tested and certified by the TÜV safety monitoring agency, the reference entity for safety certification.
