Relief 7 is a salicylic acid-based exfoliating serum formulated to target acne from the inside of the pore. Salicylic acid (BHA) is oil-soluble — unlike AHAs which work on the skin's surface, BHA dissolves through sebum to reach the congestion trapped inside pores, making it uniquely effective for blackheads, whiteheads, and inflammatory breakouts driven by oil and bacteria. In a leave-on serum format, Relief 7 delivers a concentrated BHA treatment designed to keep pores clearer, reduce the frequency and severity of breakouts, and control excess oil production over time. What it does: - Penetrates and clears pore congestion from within - Reduces active inflammatory acne lesions - Minimizes blackhead and whitehead formation with consistent use - Controls excess sebum production - Smooths bumpy or congested texture Who it's for: Relief 7 is specifically designed for oily and combination acne-prone skin with persistent blackheads, congested pores, or recurring breakouts. It's particularly effective when breakouts are driven by excess oil or clogged pores rather than hormonal or cystic patterns. People with dry or sensitive skin should start with lower frequency and ensure strong barrier support between uses. How to use: Apply a thin layer to clean skin in the evening, 2–3 nights per week. Build to 4–5 nights as tolerated. Do not use on the same night as AHA exfoliants (Reset, Refine) — you can alternate BHA and AHA nights, but never stack them. Follow with Fonte and Repair to prevent dryness. Wear SPF every morning. Pairs well with: Balance Wash → Calming Mist → Relief 7 (PM, alternating with AHA nights) → Fonte → Repair Frequently asked questions: *Should I use Relief 7 or Reset — which is better for acne? They target acne differently. Relief 7 (BHA/salicylic) works inside the pore — better for blackheads, oily congestion, and oil-driven breakouts. Reset (AHA/mandelic) works at the surface — better for texture, PIH, and mild breakouts. Many people alternate both for comprehensive coverage. *Can I use Relief 7 during the day? It's better used in the evening. BHA increases sun sensitivity, and the evening application gives it time to work without UV exposure counteracting your SPF.
