Saint Andrews

St Andrews is a fine lace in the Nottingham weave. Nottingham Lace Curtains are a machine-woven textile; the technology was developed in the mid-19th century and enabled every household to own affordable lace curtains. This is the type of lace that many of you are familiar with, and it is woven in a variety of point sizes from 8-point (the heaviest) to 14-point (the finest).  We’re happy to send cuttings or samples of any of our patterns for you to compare weaves and colors. Nottingham panels are 95% cotton and 5 % polyester.  They are effectively completely cotton, as the polyester is a single thread that binds the outer edge of the panel to hep it keep its shape.
