Sagittaria var. Pusilla

Sagittaria subulata var. pusilla (pusillus) is a versatile aquarium plant with ribbon-like leaves that closely resembles jungle vals. This specific variety is hardy with drastically different forms that are dependent on the tank environment. To achieve shorter growth for a nano aquarium, high lighting is required. In this application, we’d also recommend having CO2 injection to maintain balance and reduce the risk of algae. Other than that, this aquatic plant grows at a moderate rate. When happy, it spreads via runners through the substrate and will provide good horizontal coverage in planted tanks. In lower light settings, it would also make a great transitional plant from the midground area to the background section of the tank.
