Saffron — Persian Premium Grade 1 Gourmet

The world’s most luxurious spice, rich in color and flavor. This Grade 1 Negin Cut saffron, grown in western Afghanistan, boasts thick threads and a deep red hue. Perfect for Middle Eastern and Indian dishes, or the essential touch in authentic paella. Just 20 threads are enough to transform your recipe with saffron’s distinctive aroma and flavor. Click here for a tutorial on saffron. Why is saffron expensive? Each saffron flower produces three stigmas. The stigmas are hand-harvested and you need over 150 flowers for each gram of dried saffron! Saffron is common in Middle Eastern and Indian cooking, and you can't make paella without it! Tip: You can steep saffron in ice, as seen in our Saffron TikTok. Details: Saffron threads hand-harvested in western Afghanistan from organically-grown, non-GMO crocus flowers.
