The laptop case integrates SafeSleeve radiation blocking technology into a carrying case with a built in mouse pad so you can store your laptop and use it as a mobile workstation.  The lap desk pad integrates the same radiation blocking technology combined with a padded pouch for your necessities, but in a more slim design for convenient storage and mobility. Which side of the lap desk pad should the laptop be placed on? When using the lap desk pad, the SafeSleeve logo should be facing the bottom of the laptop.  This rigid side of the lap desk pad promotes air circulation to your laptop, allowing the internal components to remain cool, while keeping the heat from the laptop away from your body.  The padded pouch side of the lap desk pad is designed to not only store some of your necessities, but also provides comfort while resting the pad on your lap.   How does the lap desk pad work/protect me? The SafeSleeve lap desk pad integrates our radiation shielding technology, which has been tested in a  FCC accredited laboratory showing a reduction of over 99% of RF and 92% of ELF radiation. This technology is also incorporated into our laptop cases.   You can see an example of how the laptop radiation is blocked in the video by clicking on the link here: https://www.safesleevecases.com/collections/safesleeve-for-laptop-2 What size lap desk pad do I need?
