Safari Ltd. Cheetah

Famous for being the fastest land animal on planet Earth, cheetahs can reach speeds of up to 70 mph in a full sprint. While they aren't as large or strong as other members of the big cat classification, their speed makes them incredibly specialized and effective predators. History: Throughout history, many different civilizations have seen and interacted with cheetahs and have incorporated them into their folklore and art. Cheetahs were once found in a much larger range that included Palestine, central India, Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan. However, due to many different factors such as habitat loss and fragmentation, they are now found in roughly 24 percent of their historic range. Scientific Name: Acinonyx jubatus Characteristics: Did you know that cheetahs can accelerate to their full speed from a standstill in under three seconds? Our expertly painted and true-to-life cheetah toy figurine captures the natural beauty of this incredible hunter. Size: 6 inches long and 2 inches tall, this cheetah toy figurine is a little larger than a soda resting on its side. The Cheetah is part of the Wild Safari® Wildlife collection.
