Sabre Frontiersman Bear Safe Bear-Resistant Food Storage Container

The Sabre Frontiersman Bear Safe is a bear-resistant food storage container built for anyone spending multiple nights in bear country, whether you’re backpacking a designated wilderness route or basecamp car camping where canisters are required. Instead of relying on a tree-hang cache that a determined bear can outsmart, this canister locks your food, trash, and scented gear behind a screw-secured lid that you can open with your hands but a bear can’t pry apart. A tapered body and a generous 11.86-liter capacity mean it slides into a 45-liter or larger pack without throwing off your load or banging against your back on the trail. 11.86-liter (734.64 cubic inch) capacity holds several days of meals, so you’re not rationing space on longer trips Tapered shape is sized to fit inside 45-liter and larger packs alongside your other gear without wasting space Locking lid secures with three solid screws, keeping the seal tight against bears while staying simple for you to open at camp High pressure release valve lets the container flex instead of cracking if a bear tries to crush or bite through it Water- and airtight gasket locks in freshness and keeps food odors from drifting out and drawing bears toward your site Smooth polypropylene shell gives bears nothing to grip onto, so claws and jaws can’t get the traction needed to pry it open Ergonomic, evenly balanced shape rides comfortably in your pack instead of shifting or knocking against you mile after mile Capacity: 11.86 liters / 734.64 cubic inches Dimensions: 18.91 in. x 9.2 in. x 6 in. Weight: 3.55 lb. Material: polypropylene shell with water- and airtight gasket Closure: screw-locking lid with high pressure release valve Model: FBS-100 Stash it a minimum of 100 feet from your tent when you’re in the backcountry, and pack it before your trip so you know exactly how your food and gear will fit inside.
