Sabian HHX 16" Complex Thin Crash

HHX brings out lows and complexity of tone, quick to speak and maintain quality at all dynamic levels. HHX Complex Thin Crash It employs a combination of HH and HHX hammering, a raw hammered bell, and a number of the aforementioned proprietary techniques – resulting in one of the richest, sweetest Crash cymbals Sabian has ever produced Reviews "The HHX Complex Crash Cymbals complement with an excellent, successful coordination with each other, so that they can be combined excellently in all sizes, even if you play the 16" and the 22" together. Such a successful harmonic adjustment in terms of basic sound and sound duration is really rare." - Team "All HHX Complex crashes are quite thin and loose, so they open up easily at all dynamics and feel soft and supple whether smacked with a quick blow or coaxed with a gentler touch. They're a bit breathier, darker, and more controlled than comparable HHX Thin crashes, which have more pronounced midrange overtones. The Complexes also have a flashier attack, trashier sustain, and faster decay. The smaller 16" and 17" HHX Complex crashes have a tighter and shorter tone that makes them ideal for quick, punchy accents and lower-volume situations while still giving off a nuanced, complex, and musical tone. The hammered bells have a much softer and more integrated sound than standard bells that also contributes to the cymbals' overall softer, darker timbre." - Michael Dawson "The HHX Complex crashes blew me away. They share sonic attributes with the rides, but they're unique in the ways they accomplish it. The crash sound is explosive. It barks with authority and gets out of the way quickly. The 16-inch Complex Thin Crash erupts with a dark trashiness that most cymbals this size don't dare try. If you like thin, dark-sounding cymbals but miss the clarity often associated with them, you're in luck, as Sabian clearly has figured out how to combine those qualities in the HHX Complex line." - Ryan Bennett Warranty Sabian has TWO years warranty against manufacturing flaws, starting from date of the purchase.
