Sabian AA 22" Apollo Ride

From classic rock to old school punk rock and hip-hop - that’s AA. Tight, controlled, but loud AF when you hit it hard. AA Apollo Ride Great complexity, versatility and distinctive appearance. Versatile. Hit it hard for a modern sound, or play it with dynamics for controlled stick and sublime shimmer.  Reviews "Complex overtones, a clear bright bell with good stick articulation. We play mostly 1950s, styles with our modern interpretation. The music can be aggressive and this cymbal allows me to dig into it without it overpowering the piano. For ballads it has plenty of timbral complexity and the bell is very clear and cuts through for Latin styles." - Atlanta Jazz Trio "The stick definition/ride sound and bell sound are pure nirvana." - Boogie "AA Apollos a little thinner-toned and tinnier with a shriller, spreadier and ringier wash. These are versatile rides with a modern slant. They could suit power rock as well as jazz and big band." - Geoff Nicholls "Its very earthy with great stick definition. You can crash it, but its a very fast dry crash sound. Tremendous bell, its loud enough with a nice presence, not too shrill like some bells." - James "AA Apollo rides are designed for versatility, whether hit hard for cutting yet musical tones, struck quickly for a strong and woody stick attack, or played more delicately for more nuanced textures. They provided utmost articulation at all volumes and had a controlled, semi-bright shimmer. The 24 version was drier and had a muted crash sound with a very quick decay. The bells on the Apollos were musical and clear (probably my favorites of the collection). The Apollos stood out in their ability to elicit super-complex, vintage-like tones without sounding too dark or trashy. (Bass players would appreciate how they didn't muck up the lower frequencies.)" - Michael Dawson Warranty Sabian has TWO years warranty against manufacturing flaws, starting from date of the purchase.
