S Shank Twisted Wire Dogbone Bit

More definition with a smooth, progressive signal. The Showman® S Shank Bit is designed for experienced riders who need a little more response from a horse that tends to lean, pull, or get heavy in the bridle. The S-shaped shank provides progressive leverage with a smooth pickup and release, helping keep rein cues balanced and consistent when asking for rate, collection, and balance.  The jointed twisted-wire dogbone mouthpiece adds more definition across the bars, while the dogbone center allows greater independent movement from side to side for clearer lateral cues. Compared with a traditional single-jointed mouthpiece, the design also helps reduce the nutcracker-style action that can create palate pressure. At the center, copper rollers encourage tongue movement and salivation, helping keep the mouth active and receptive.
