We tend to think only about passengers having a lovely time aboard these giants of the sea but the officers of these ships were also treated like kings. This 1926 menu for a goodbye dinner aboard the SS America is certainly impressive – note that the officers could finish off their meals “in the smoking room or the library.” The SS America sailed from Bremen to New York via Southampton and Cherbourg. Courtesy Herbert Beazley Collection. Gallery quality Giclée print on natural white, matte, 100% cotton rag, acid and lignin free archival paper using Epson K3 archival inks. Custom printed with border for matting and framing. All printed in USA. Each product is accompanied by a copy of the interior menu where available.
