S&B Filters 82-1006 MAP Sensor Spacer Kit

KEEP YOUR POWERSTROKES'S MAP SENSOR CLEAN. The EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) and PCV (Positive Crank Case Ventilation) systems within your engine play an important role in managing combustion temperature, reducing NOx emissions, and ensuring that harmful gasses are not released into the atmosphere. These systems draw in unburnt exhaust gasses and oil vapor into the combustion chambers, leading to lower combustion temperatures and reduced NOx production. THE PROBLEM. Without the S&B MAP Sensor Spacer installed, the MAP sensor's delicate electronics become clogged by the recirculated exhaust gas and sticky oil vapor, leading to inaccurate readings. Consequently, incorrect fuel calculations ensue, resulting in reduced fuel economy and power output. THE SOLUTION. Installing the S&B MAP Sensor Spacer prevents the oily soot from building up on your MAP sensor by relocating it up and out of the contaminated exhaust stream. REAL WORLD RESULTS. The accumulation of soot on the MAP sensor is remarkable. Compare the buildup with and without installing the S&B MAP Sensor Spacer kit. The difference is shocking. SIMPLE, QUICK INSTALLATION. With a quick and easy installation process taking just a few minutes, the S&B MAP Sensor Spacer eliminates the need for regular cleaning. It safeguards your sensor against inaccurate readings, ensuring that your ECM consistently calculates precise air-fuel ratios. Not available for sale in the state of California.
