RXM8BTW

Video of RXM8BTW: Description: Rockville RXM8BT Marine 8 Channel Digital Class D Power Amplifier with Bluetooth Wireless Integration. The Rockville Proton Series Marine amplifiers are engineered with advanced technologies. These amps are a full solution to your marine audio needs. Gone are the old days where people bring CD's on their boat or listen to FM radio that cuts in and out. Gone are the days where you need a receiver and multiple amplifiers to power your speakers. Gone are the days where you have wires running throughout your boat. Welcome to the marine system of the future! The Rockville RXM8BT will change your life! This is an 8 channel amplifier with Bluetooth built in! The Bluetooth will allow you to stream music wirelessly from a Bluetooth enabled MP3 player or smartphone. Of course the RXM8BT features "zero noise" RCA differential preamp inputs and preamp outputs for system expansion. This means you can connect any audio device through the RCA input. But it's the high quality Bluetooth that will blow you away. It offers advanced streaming from almost any music device. Now you can easily play your iTunes, Pandora, Rhapsody and Spotify directly from your smart phone directly to all 8 channels of your amplifier. Even more importantly though, is the capability of the 8 channel amplifier. We feel this is the best marine amplifier on the market even if it did not have the Bluetooth capability which it has. It offers more system flexibility and more power than anything even remotely close to this price. I almost forgot to mention how good the sound quality is. The Rockville Proton Series Marine amplifiers utilize Texas Instruments patented switching technology to deliver class-leading sonic performance and extremely high power from what seems like an impossibly miniature package. The Proton Series' dimensions are made possible by its outstanding efficient class D design which is over 90%efficient. The result is more power in your boat with less current drain. Proton Series amplifiers are 2 ohm stable in stereo and 4 ohm in mono. There are so many options of configurations. Any 2 channels can be bridged to 1 channel. So for example, you can bridge 4 channels to 2 channels and still have an additional 4 channels remaining. You can simply plug 1 speaker to each channel. You can use 2 or 4 of the channels for subwoofers and the rest for your full range speakers. The configuration options are amazing with this amplifier. Whether you have 4 speakers, or 16 speakers, and whether you do or do not have subwoofers, this amplifier will power your system. With a smart auto thermal reset circuit, Proton Series amplifiers are almost impossible to shut down. When they get too warm, the thermal circuit reduces power by up to a third until they cool down enough to power up again at full power. And mixed impedances on different channels are no problem with the advanced rail voltage circuitry design. This amplifier is so awesome I almost forgot to write about the most important thing. How much power the thing has. The short answer is a boatload! But in all seriousness, this amplifier is extremely powerful. The true RMS ratings are 65 watts x 8 at 4 ohms or 95 watts x 8 at 2 ohms. This is the Dyno Certified RMS Power Ratings. In total this has 750 watts RMS and 1,500 watts peak output. There are not many marine amplifiers on the market with this much power. Other brands out there will rate their amps at thousands of watts but in reality are only a hundred or 200 watts. But this Rockville amplifier is legitimate and will produce or exceed its rated power. To prove the power; you can check the fuse rating. This amplifier is equipped with an 80A fuse. A general rule for 12 volt amplifiers is if you multiply the fuse rating by 10 that is close to the real power you will get. In this case that is 800 watts RMS (we rate it at 750w RMS since this is Dyno Certified RMS Power Ratings). The peak rating can be used to compare with brands who use peak ratings such as Boss and Power Acoustik while the Dyno Certified RMS rating can be used to compare with top brands such as Kicker, Rockford, Alpine, etc. Utilizing the RCA preamp channels you can easily daisy chain a second amp for an almost unlimited number of speakers! But one amp in most setups will give you more than enough power and channels. This amp is a real marine amp and all the components have been fully marinized. It's resistant to both fresh water and salt water. The high quality surface mount (SMD) double sided PCB is conformal-coated keeping the board and components protected from the elements. All connections to speakers and RCA cables are 100% stainless steel to avoid any signal robbing corrosion. The RXM8BT is rated at 750 Watts RMS /1500 Watts Peak and is loud enough to literally power a boatload of speakers and subwoofers. So weather your plowing at full speed ahead, or just cruising around the lake, the Rockville Micro Marine Series amp will keep the music flowing with audio fidelity that high end audiophiles have come to expect and appreciate.
