RW GUILD Fringe Double Weave Washed Linen Table Runner

This linen collection has a thicker double woven weight that gives it a luxurious heft. Woven with twice the amount of fibers, it brings a sumptuous texture to the table. From planting the flax, to harvesting, to weaving, linen is a lifestyle. Linen is stronger and longer lasting than cotton or wool. We enzyme-wash linen, which is a laundering process that uses natural enzymes to soften and finish fabric; it is ecologically friendly and produces a softer more supple fabric that gets better with time. The nature-inspired hues come from plant-based dyes. We partner with a handloom collective in India, which is expert at achieving the perfect hue, size, heft, and fray. Variations: Napkin, Placemat, Tablecloth, Cocktail Napkin, Table Runner Robin Standefer and Stephen Alesch’s Roman and Williams Guild Original Private Label. Care Instructions: Our linens are made for everyday use and are machine washable. Wash with cold water with a very mild detergent; we suggest Laundress. Tumble dry on low heat or line dry. Hand smooth and fold linens flat to reduce wrinkling. Please note that ironing and bleach will stiffen our linens, hot water will shrink them. Our Enzyme Linens have a hem just inside the fringe to keep them from fraying. However, the first few times they are washed, they will shed a bit. Simply cut the threads that start to shed to the same length as the fringe. We recommend washing linens alone for the first few washes to avoid getting lint on your other textiles. Plant-based dyes give our natural linens their unique colors. As in any organic process, the dye lots may vary slightly so please note that the final product may not match the color swatch exactly. Each piece is individually handmade, and natural variations in color, texture, and finish are to be expected and celebrated.
