RV6 Turbo to Downpipe Titanium Hardware for Civic 1.5T/Type R

M10x1.25mm Sizing Sold as Pack of 4 Includes Studs, Washers, and Nuts Replace Those Broken Bolts During Your Install Description Vehicle Fitment RV6 Titanium Turbo To Downpipe Hardware Kit - Civic 1.5T & Type R The turbo to downpipe joint is one of the hottest, most punished connections on the car, and factory hardware doesn't enjoy it. Studs seize, nuts round off, and eventually you're extracting broken fasteners from an exhaust housing while the car sits. This RV6 kit replaces all of it with titanium, finished in a blued gradient, with safety wire nuts to keep the joint tight when things get serious. Why Titanium Belongs Here Worth understanding, because it's not a styling choice. The turbo flange sees extreme heat cycling, going from ambient to glowing and back every time you drive. Steel hardware in that environment corrodes, galls into the threads, and becomes progressively harder to remove. Anyone who's snapped a stud pulling a downpipe knows exactly how that goes. Titanium handles heat considerably better and resists the corrosion that seizes steel hardware in place. It also has a much lower thermal expansion rate, so the joint stays consistent through the temperature swings rather than loosening and tightening against itself. What that means practically is a fastener you can actually remove next time, and a joint that stays sealed in the meantime. Safety Wire Nuts The detail that separates this from a nice-looking hardware kit. The nuts are drilled for safety wire, which is how motorsport hardware is secured where vibration and heat would otherwise back a fastener off. Wire them and they physically cannot rotate loose, regardless of what the car is doing. On a turbo flange that's genuinely useful. Exhaust leaks at the turbo are a persistent annoyance on modified cars, and they usually start with a nut that worked itself loose over a few heat cycles. This removes that failure mode entirely. The Blued Finish Titanium takes on color from heat, and the blued gradient here is that process done deliberately rather than something that happens to it over time. It's a finish no coating quite replicates, and on hardware sitting in a bay where people look, it reads as intentional. That's a small thing on a functional part, but the people fitting titanium turbo hardware generally care about how the bay looks. What's In The Kit (4) Titanium studs, M10 x 1.25mm (4) Safety wire nuts (4) Washers Everything needed for the turbo to downpipe connection. Do It While The Downpipe Is Off Practical timing note. If you're fitting a downpipe or already have one off, that's the moment for this. The flange is exposed, the old hardware is already out, and you're not doing the job twice. It's also worth doing if you've fought seized hardware once already. Putting steel back in means the same fight next time. Fitment Honda Civic 1.5T and Civic Type R M10 x 1.25mm turbo to downpipe hardware. Who Should Grab This This is for the owner fitting a downpipe who'd rather do the hardware properly than reuse factory studs, and for anyone who's already dealt with a seized fastener at the turbo flange. It's a small part of the job that determines how the next job goes. Fit it, wire the nuts, and stop worrying about that joint. Fits: Honda Civic 1.5T and Civic Type R. Thread: M10 x 1.25mm.
