Use the drop-down to choose the karat and color that suit you, or step up to platinum: 10K Gold The most affordable and the hardest-wearing of the three karats — a great everyday choice. Available in white, yellow, or rose. 14K Gold Our most popular pick: the classic balance of durability, rich color, and value. White, yellow, or rose. 18K Gold The highest gold content we offer — the warmest, most saturated color and a true heirloom feel. White, yellow, or rose. Platinum Naturally white, exceptionally dense and durable, and hypoallergenic — a lifetime metal that never needs re-plating. Higher karat means more pure gold and a warmer tone; lower karat is harder and more budget-friendly. Not sure which is right? Our 10K vs 14K vs 18K gold comparison guide walks through durability, color, and price. Cool white gold and platinum let the golden rutile needles stand out; yellow or rose gold echo the warm threads inside the quartz. The rutilated quartz The coffin-cut center is a genuine natural rutilated quartz — clear quartz (7–7.5 Mohs) naturally threaded with fine golden or black rutile needles, like captured strands of light. Because the rutile is natural, every stone's pattern is unique and yours will vary from the photos. Our non-traditional engagement ring guide and salt-and-pepper diamond guide are great reads for inclusion-rich, one-of-a-kind stones. Coffin rutilated quartz ring set FAQs Which metal and karat should I choose? All options are solid gold or platinum — never plated. 10K is the hardest and most affordable, 14K is the most popular all-round choice, and 18K has the highest gold content and warmest color. Platinum is naturally white, extra durable, and hypoallergenic. White gold and platinum let the golden rutile needles stand out; rose and yellow gold echo the warm threads. See our karat comparison guide for details. Is the rutilated quartz natural?Yes — genuine natural rutilated quartz: clear quartz naturally threaded with fine rutile needles. Not lab-created. Each stone is one of a kind. What are the needle-like lines inside? They're natural rutile inclusions — fine golden or black mineral threads captured inside the quartz as it formed, giving each stone its unique look. Is this a set or a single ring? It's a two-piece set — the coffin-cut rutilated quartz engagement ring plus a coordinating band. Each can also be worn alone. Is this real solid gold?Yes. The set is solid gold in your chosen karat — the metal itself, not plating or vermeil — or solid platinum. The color is permanent, won't wear off, and won't turn skin green. How long does it take to make?Made to order — please allow about 2–5 weeks. Requested modifications may adjust the timeline, and we'll confirm everything before production begins.
