Rust Removal & Prevention Kit

Rust Removal & Prevention Kit Rust stains don’t just look bad on a boat — they spread, worsen, and often come back if the surface isn’t properly protected afterward. The Xanigo Marine Rust Removal & Prevention Kit is a professional two-step system designed to remove rust stains and help protect metal surfaces from future corrosion in harsh marine environments. Instead of simply removing rust and leaving the surface exposed, this system addresses the full process: Remove rust → Clean the surface → Protect the metal The result is a cleaner surface today and longer-lasting protection moving forward. Designed for boating professionals and boat owners alike, this kit provides a simple and effective way to restore and protect metal components throughout your vessel. Ideal For • Rust and corrosion removal • Iron oxide staining elimination • Surface preparation before polishing or compounding • Marine, automotive, industrial, and maintenance applications Compatible Surfaces • Bare steel and iron • Carbon steel • Ferrous metal components • Gel coat • Paint Not Recommended For • Prolonged exposure to aluminum or stainless steel • Anodized metals • Natural stone (marble, limestone, travertine) • Decorative or soft metal finishes Always test in an inconspicuous area prior to full application. DIRECTIONS FOR USE Step 1 — Remove Rust Apply Xanigo Marine Rust Remover to break down rust stains on metal surfaces and surrounding areas such as gel coat and painted finishes. The formula works quickly to dissolve rust buildup so it can be wiped or rinsed away. For tough stains, you may need to use a brush to agitate but please wear rubber gloves.  For long-term protection, follow with Xanigo Marine Corrosion Inhibitor. Step 2 — Clean the Surface After rust removal, the surface should be neutralized and cleaned before protection is applied. We recommend wiping or rinsing the area and cleaning the surface with a product like Xanigo Marine Waterless Wash to remove any remaining residue and prepare the surface for corrosion protection. This step helps ensure the protective layer bonds properly. Step 3 — Protect the Metal Once the surface is clean and dry, apply Xanigo Marine Corrosion Inhibitor. This step helps create a protective barrier that: • Helps reduce future corrosion • Protects metal from moisture exposure • Defends against saltwater environments • Extends the life of treated surfaces WHAT'S INCLUDED • 16 oz Xanigo Marine Rust Remover • 16 oz Xanigo Marine Corrosion Inhibitor
