Ruby Sump 30" x 14" Trigger Systems

Trigger Systems specializes in aquarium sump manufacturing and are based here in the USA (Dallas, TX). All Trigger sumps come with a full top support brace which is made of a solid piece of material to prevent bowing over time from the humidity and water pressure. They also round the corners instead of squaring them which exponentially increases the strength of the corners. The RUBY30S sump is loaded with features and comes with the trademark dark RUBY translucent red material. This sump can be used as a berlin style sump or a refugium style sump. Some features of the RUBY30S sump are: 3 position probe holder RUBY red wall to block light and prevent unwanted algae growth in skimmer section Dual platforms Locking filter sock holder Foam filter block for top platform Protein skimmer section Refugium section Section Details & Water Flow Path The RUBY30S has 3 main sections. Water drains from the tank into section 1 through the two 100 micron provided filter socks. Section 1 is typically where the protein skimmer sits. Water then flows through a slit in the first baffle into section 2. Section 2 is typically used as a refugium. If a refugium is not desired, then the protein skimmer or other equipment can be housed in section 2. The water then flows over the second baffle through 2 perforated platforms and under the third baffle into section 3. The top perforated platform holds the included foam block filter and the bottom platform is open to use for several different filtration methods (bag of carbon, bio balls, rubble rock, etc.). Section 3 is the return section where the return pump will sit, pumping water back to the display tank. Dual Media Platforms There are two platforms in the area before the return section. The top platform comes with a foam filter block and the bottom one is open to use for several different filtration methods (bag of carbon, bio balls, bio sponge, heater, rubble rock, etc.). Three Slot Probe Holder The RUBY30S sumps come with a probe holder that can hold up to three probes. The two outside holes are 0.63” in diameter and the center hole is 0.8” in diameter to fit different sized probes. Draw String Tabs Tabs are located on the top support brace in front of the 1” bulkhead fittings which are included. The purpose of these tabs is to provide a location for tying off 7” diameter filter socks that have draw strings. Locking Filter Sock Holder Filter socks snap and lock into the filter sock holders to secure the filter sock from falling out when it becomes clogged and needs to be cleaned or replaced. The 4” filter socks are 100 micron rating.
