Ruby River - Fall Fly Box

Fish the Ruby like you know it — because now you do.   The Ruby River Fall Fly Box is hand-curated specifically for the conditions, hatches, and trout behavior you'll encounter on the Ruby from September through November. Fall on the Ruby is a special experience. Fewer crowds, cooling water, and brown trout becoming aggressive make October one of the best months to fish this underrated river.   This box is built around the Ruby's fall hatch calendar — blue-winged olives and late caddis. Every fly was chosen with streamer fishing and dry fly fishing during BWO hatches in mind, giving you exactly what you need to match what the fish are eating at this time of year.   What's in the box: 36 flies total — 18 unique patterns, 2 of each — covering streamers, BWO dries, mahogany duns, and large attractor nymphs. No filler. No patterns that don't belong on this river in this season.   Pro tip from the water: October brown trout on the Ruby are aggressive and willing to chase. Fish streamers through the deeper holes and along undercut banks.   Whether you're making your first trip to the Ruby or you fish it every season, this box gives you a proven starting lineup so you can spend more time fishing and less time digging through bins at the fly shop.   Includes a quality waterproof fly box. All flies are hand-tied to Bozeman FlyWorks standards — the same quality we'd put on our own lines.
