Ruby Puff® Waterproof Luxury Dog Blanket

Ruby Puff® has always been the heavyweight of the Animals Matter blanket family. Customers describe it by weight before they mention anything else. The Ruby Puff® Waterproof Luxury Dog Blanket brings that same dense, tightly woven faux fur together with the Luxura-Protect™ waterproof liner, and the first thing you notice picking it up is how substantial it feels. That weight is not engineered in. There is no bead fill and nothing added to reach a number on a label. It is simply what happens when our heaviest and most luxurious fabric is paired with a full waterproof liner. Ruby Puff® faux fur is thick and tightly woven rather than light and shaggy, drawing its buttery hand from fiber density rather than pile height, and the liner carries its own quiet heft. Together they give the blanket a weighted feel that drapes and stays where you put it instead of sliding off the cushion, and a calming weight for the companion who settles underneath it. The Medium weighs four pounds, the Large six, and the Extra Large eight, and you feel every ounce of it the moment you lift it off the sofa. Sealed between the two faux fur faces, the Luxura-Protect™ liner helps stop moisture, drool, and occasional accidents before they reach the cushion, duvet, or car seat below. Because the liner sits in the middle rather than on the outside, the blanket is faux fur on both sides and fully reversible. There is no slick utilitarian backing and no wrong side to turn toward your companion or your sofa, which is the entire point of laying it over furniture you chose carefully. It belongs with our luxury dog blankets, our waterproof dog blankets, and our pet furniture protectors and covers. The same signature faux fur runs through the Ruby Collection of dog beds, so the blanket and the bed read as one intentional pairing rather than two separate accessories. Why it stops at X-Large. That same weight is the reason this blanket comes in three sizes and no larger. A naturally weighty fabric plus a full waterproof liner adds up quickly, and past X-Large the piece becomes genuinely hard to lift, shake out, and put through a wash. We would rather cap the size than ship something you cannot comfortably handle. For a two or three cushion couch, a queen bed, or a king bed, the Cozy Raine Waterproof Blanket™ is the piece built for that coverage. It is offered in Light Gray, in three sizes: Medium at 29" x 36" for a chair or a car seat, Large at 36" x 58" for a sofa cushion or a dog bed, and X-Large at 56" x 58" for the bed you technically share. Each Ruby Puff® Waterproof Blanket is cut and sewn by hand in Palm Springs, California, so finished dimensions are approximate, which is the handwork showing rather than a flaw. The full size chart, with weights, sits further down the page. The whole blanket machine washes in cold water and line dries, with no heat, and no bleach or bleach alternatives. If you are weighing one waterproof piece against another, our guide to the best waterproof dog blankets walks through the differences. Why This Waterproof Dog Blanket Is Different Our waterproof blankets all carry the Luxura-Protect™ liner and are built for different jobs. This one is the weight. The Cozy Raine Waterproof Blanket™ is the coverage piece, scaling to a three-cushion couch or a king bed. The Roxy™ Luxura-Protect™ Waterproof Luxury Dog Blanket is the lighter reversible option, around two pounds lighter than this blanket in every size. The Ruby Puff® Waterproof is the heavy one: dense, substantial, closer in hand to a weighted throw than to a light fur blanket, and the only waterproof blanket in the line that coordinates with the Ruby Puff® beds. Key Features Our heaviest and most luxurious fabric: thick, tightly woven Ruby Puff® faux fur, buttery-soft from density rather than pile height Substantial, naturally weighty feel from the heavy fabric and the liner together, with no added bead or pellet fill Faux fur on both sides, fully reversible: no wrong side and no slick utilitarian backing Luxura-Protect™ waterproof liner sealed between the two faux fur faces Around two pounds heavier than the Roxy waterproof blanket in every size Helps guard furniture, bedding, floors, and car seats against moisture, drool, and occasional accidents Drapes and stays where you put it rather than sliding off the cushion Three sizes: Medium 29" x 36" at 4 lbs, Large 36" x 58" at 6 lbs, X-Large 56" x 58" at 8 lbs Size run capped by weight rather than by demand: past X-Large it stops being manageable One considered colorway: Light Gray The only waterproof blanket that coordinates with the Ruby Collection of dog beds Each blanket is individually cut and sewn by hand; finished dimensions are approximate Cold-water machine wash, line dry, with no heat, and no bleach or bleach alternatives Especially helpful for puppies in training, senior companions, and post-adventure cleanup Best For Homes with a companion who has claimed a chair, a sofa cushion, or one side of the bed, and who would rather protect the upholstery than announce that it is being protected. It suits companions who settle more readily under something with real weight to it, puppies in training, senior companions with occasional accidents, and travel days that end wetter than they began. For a full couch or a king bed, reach for the Cozy Raine instead. Weight is the kind of comfort a companion notices long before anyone thinks to mention it.
