Ruby 2mm Round Faceted A Grade - 15-16 Inch

Ruby is a precious gemstone known for its deep red color. It is a variety of the mineral corundum, the second-hardest mineral next to diamond . The presence of chromium is what gives a ruby its red color. Trace amounts of iron can also affect the hue, giving some rubies a slightly brownish or purplish tint.  Ruby has long been considered one of the most beautiful and valuable gemstones on the planet. At times in ancient history, Ruby was valued more highly than any other gem, including Diamond. It’s believed that Kublai Khan once offered an entire city in trade for a sizable Ruby.
