Rubenza Cosmos

Bring a dynamic, shifting color palette to your flower borders with this uniquely beautiful cosmos. Unlike the static colors of standard varieties, 'Rubenza' puts on a living show: solitary blooms open as a deep, velvety wine-red and gradually soften into sophisticated shades of antique rose and amber as they mature. Set against delicate, ferny foliage and highlighted by bright golden centers, these flowers create a rich, multi-hued tapestry that looks wonderful in the garden and even better in a vase. Practical gardeners will love this variety's robust habit. Growing to a manageable height of about three feet, it remains upright without the need for staking, unlike its taller, floppier cousins. It blooms early and keeps producing right up until frost, especially if you harvest stems frequently for bouquets. It is a buzzing hub for beneficial insects all summer long, and if you let the last blooms turn to seed, the plants become a natural feeder for hungry birds.
