Product Specifications Capacity: 70ml Diameter: 6.0cm Height: 5.5cm Material: Ru ware ash clay & Celadon glaze Food Safe: Yes Packaging: Premium gift box   1. Origin and Historical Background Production Site: The Qingliang Temple area in Baofeng County, Henan—the core archaeological site of the Northern Song official Ru kilns. Historical Significance: The local kaolin clay around Qingliang Temple provided unique raw materials that established Ru ware as the foremost of the Five Great Kilns of the Song dynasty, renowned for its “sky-after-rain” celadon glaze. 2. Three-Point Nail-Support Firing Technique Technical Principle: Fired using the traditional three-point nail-support method, where the piece rests on three small clay nails inside the kiln to minimize contact with the kiln shelf. Craft Mark: Leaves subtle, sesame seed-like marks on the base—a key identifier of authentic Song dynasty Ru ware craftsmanship. 3. Glaze Formula and Color Development Glaze Composition: Follows the ancient formula with powdered agate added to the glaze, enhancing its jade-like texture and luminous translucency. Color Expression: Exhibits the classic “sky-after-rain” blue-green tone, with a soft, glossy surface that shifts in depth under changing light. 4. Crackle Pattern Characteristics Pattern Type: Features a willow-leaf crackle—fine lines resembling the veins of a willow leaf swaying in spring breeze. Aging Process: Over time, tea will naturally seep into the fine cracks, gradually developing golden or amber lines, enhancing the cup’s character with use. 5. Form and Functional Design Shape: Thumb-ring cup form, with a rounded body, ergonomically shaped to rest comfortably between the thumb and index finger. Functionality: Moderate capacity ideal for slow-sipping green tea or oolong; wall thickness balances heat retention and dissipation. 6. Cultural and Collectible Value Aesthetic Value: Embodies the Song dynasty literati aesthetics of simplicity, subtlety, and harmony between craftsmanship, nature, and philosophy. Collectibility: Each piece is entirely handmade, with a unique and unrepeatable crackle pattern, making it both a functional vessel and a heritage art object.
