Phil Rowley's Balanced Leech takes all the elements of an effective leech pattern and incorporates them into the popular balanced leech style of hook/weight design. Suspend Rowley's Balanced Leech under an indicator and let the chop on the surface hover the leech above the bottom. The fly is designed to sit in a horizontal position, the floating indicator providing just enough movement for the marabou tail to swim and entice hungry trout that cruise by. Rowley's Balanced Leech is tied on a size 10 hook.
