Round Millgrain Tools-Sizes 1 to 15

These are Round shaped Millgrain tools used by stone setters to dress up or decorate stone settings. Also available in a Oval shape.  Oval shape is the more popular shape. The effect of the small, uniform depressions made by a Millgrain wheel helps make the stone look larger and brighter. Not to be confused with the larger decorative tools commonly used on a lathe for making the decorative edge of a wedding band, these stone setting Millgrain tools are extremely small and would be of very little help for such a use. The difference between size #1, which measures approximately .35mm across, and the largest size #15, which measures approximately .65mm, is only .30mm. That makes the difference between the sizes approximately .02mm. (We say approximately because they are so difficult to measure.)
