Roto Grip Transformer Bowling Ball

ROTOGRIP TRANSFORMER INTRODUCING THE ALL-NEW HP5 LINE The HP5 line represents Roto Grips commitment to pushing the boundaries of bowling ball design. Reserved for our most advanced innovations, the HP5 is dedicated to one thing: REVOLUTIONARY PERFORMANCE.  Meet the TRANSFORMER. The Transformer doesn't just react - it transforms to meet your exact needs.  The Morph-Wing Core is a dynamic, unique shape that was built to enhance torque induced precession when drilled.  Engineered to change drastically when drilled Displacing mass in the wing section fundamentally alters core numbers Unlocks completely new flare potential and ball motion     WHY IS THE MORPH-WING CORE UNIQUE? TORQUE INDUCED PRECESSION Torque induced precession pulls the ball in the direction of the center of mass. This can cause a ball to retain or lose axis rotation faster on the lane. It all comes down to CONTROLLED WEIGHT SHIFT: when your pro shop operator drills into the “wing” the internal weight changes dramatically.  This shift greatly transforms the core numbers, giving you a completely different flare pattern and motion that no other asymmetric shape can match.  Torque induced precession is true gyroscopic precession. It has a huge influence on the rotation of a bowling ball. This happens because angular momentum chases the torque created by the center of mass.  Torque induced precession pulls the ball in the direction of the center of mass. This can cause a ball to retain or lose axis rotation faster on the lane.  ULTIMATE LAYOUT CONTROL The Transformer represents a true breakthrough in bowling ball design. A core that actually transforms when drilled, creating unprecedented layout versatility PIN UP LAYOUT For traditional thumb players, this drilling keeps the thumb hole positioned away from the precession wing. Precession Effect: Enhances torque-induced precession, helping the ball retain axis rotation Ball Motion: Stronger backend motion with increased entry angle Best Use: More open angles as lane conditions begin to transition PIN DOWN LAYOUT For traditional thumb players, this drilling places the thumb hole directly through the precession wing. Precession Effect: Inhibits torque-induced precession and enhances asymmetry dynamics Ball Motion: Earlier, smoother hook with a rounder downlane shape Best Use: Straighter angles and fresh oil conditions when control is critical TECH SPECS & CORE NUMBERS RG | DIFF | PSA 16 = 2.50 | .050 | .015 15 = 2.51 | .051 | .015 14 = 2.53 | .053 | .013 13 = 2.57 | .032 | .010 12 = 2.59 | .029 | .008   INTEGRITY FOR PRECISION DESIGN INTENT Depending on how you drill it, the Morph-Wing Core is designed to transform ball reaction to match the player and environment. MOTION CONSEQUENCE This consistency enhances torque induced precession for every style of bowler — keeping the ball on its intended path with a stable, continuous hook that drives through the pin deck. PLAYER BENEFIT Transformation without sacrificing consistency.   COVER STOCK TECHNOLOGY VERSATILE RESPONSE SOLID ( V-R1) The Versatile Response Solid (V-R1™) is a proprietary, hyper-reactive solid reactive matrix. Formulated with a specific blend of polymers and chemical additives, the V-R1™ coverstock exhibits a unique Dynamic Surface Friction (DSF) profile. This allows it to generate controlled, predictable traction through the mid-lane and backend on medium to medium/heavy oil volumes, without succumbing to premature burnout or over-reaction at the breakpoint.
