Rostam and Lion 7 Inch 3D Wood Relief, Persian Epic Art, Shahnameh Carved Wall Decor

This Rostam and Lion relief was made for someone who grew up with stories of heroes, courage, and standing firm when life tests you. Rostam is more than a figure from the Shahnameh. For many people, he carries the memory of strength, responsibility, and the kind of bravery used to protect what matters. Rostam is one of the great heroes of the Shahnameh, the Persian epic filled with stories of loyalty, wisdom, struggle, and courage. In this scene, he faces the lion during one of his early trials, a moment that reflects readiness, resilience, and the courage to meet danger without turning away. Each relief is CNC-carved from solid beech wood, then hand-sanded to soften the surface and edges. I use laser detailing to bring out the movement of the horse, Rostam’s armor, the lion, and the fine lines of the scene. The piece is finished with shellac to give the wood a warm natural tone while helping protect the surface. This 7" x 7" x 0.5" carved wood wall art can be displayed in a home, office, entryway, bookshelf, desk area, or personal corner where meaningful stories and heritage pieces are kept. It is a strong fit for someone who connects with the Shahnameh, Persian epic art, heroic stories, or symbols of courage and protection. Personalization is available on the back of the piece.
