Rose Velvet Underglaze is a deep magenta that is dark at cone 05 and becomes patchy at cone 5 before it burns out almost completely at cone 10. A clear glaze over Rose will accentuate the color at cone 05 but at cone 5 and 10, there is no color change between glazed and unglazed. Safety Warning Tableware producers must test all finished ware to establish dinnerware status, due to possible variations in firing temperature and contamination.
