Rose Quartz Tranquility Lamp

For the Air Goddess — the one who has been meaning to make the corner of the room where she actually rests look like it. A generous piece of natural rose quartz, lit from within so the whole stone turns the color of the inside of a shell. Rose quartz has carried the same reputation for centuries — the stone of unconditional love, of softening, of the heart chakra — and there is a real difference between owning a piece of it and living with one that glows. The light is warm and low, the kind you can meditate beside without squinting. Because the crystal is natural, the veining and the density of the pink are particular to this one lamp, and so is the way it throws light. It belongs beside a meditation cushion, on a bedside table, or on the shelf in the room where the day gets put down. Leave it on through the evening as the only light and watch how quickly the room agrees to slow down.
