Red Drift® Rose

Red Drift® carries small deep red flowers on a plant that stays 1 to 2 feet tall and spreads 2 to 3 feet, low and wide enough to plant as a flowering groundcover. Rosa Red Drift grows in full sun, hardy from Zone 4 through Zone 11. The flowers are petite and produced in such quantity that they blanket the foliage, running from late spring through frost without deadheading. The color holds rather than fading as the blooms age. Disease resistance is good, so it keeps clean foliage through humid summers with no spray program. Full sun gives the heaviest bloom, and it handles heat and drought once established. Cut back by about a third in early spring to keep the growth dense. Space 2 feet apart for coverage. Shipped on its own roots.
