Romy Bootie — Brun Noisette

The buckle sits at the ankle. Everything else follows the leg. The Romy is built in two textures. Smooth cowhide shapes the toe and wraps the heel, each panel finished with a soft wave of piping where it meets the shaft. Above it, a stretch shaft with a suede finish holds close to the ankle and closes with a zigzag-stitched edge. A thin leather strap circles the ankle twice and fastens with a brushed antique-gold buckle, the one point of light on the boot. Below, a flared block heel widens toward its base, so the step stays steady. The shaft stretches to follow the ankle, and the inside zip opens it fully at the instep. Brun Noisette is a warm hazelnut brown, deeper in the shaft and richer where the leather catches light. It sits naturally beside camel, ecru, charcoal and houndstooth, and it gives a slip skirt or a cropped trouser a grounded finish. Wear it with a hem that stops above the strap, so the buckle stays in view, from October through early spring.
