Roma VFN Tomato - 75+ seeds

300+ Seeds. Roma is a plum tomato variety popularly used both for canning and producing tomato paste because of their slender and firm nature. Most commercial plum tomatoes sold in markets in the Western Hemisphere are Roma or related types. Smaller plum tomatoes about the size of cherry tomatoes are sometimes sold as Baby Roma. Commonly found in supermarkets in some countries, Roma tomatoes are also known as Italian plum tomatoes. While Roma is an open-pollinated variety rather than a hybrid, it has been steadily improved to the point where most Roma tomato vines are verticulum fusarium wilt resistant (thus the VF in the name). Ours is also resistant to nematodes (N). Roma is known to do well in containers. It is the finest sauce, paste, and canning tomato variety available. Thick walls, firm flesh and huge yields. Tomatoes are 3"-4" in length and weigh around 3 ounces. Determinate, Open-Pollinated, 75 days from transplant.
