Rolling Thunder

Rolling Thunder — Jay Bryant WardThere is something primal in the sound of hooves striking earth at full speed — a force that cannot be contained, only witnessed. Rolling Thunder captures that moment of pure release. Jay Bryant Ward renders a powerful stallion in full gallop using deep black ink and smoky charcoal tones against a pale cream ground. The horse emerges with precise anatomical confidence before dissolving at its edges into sweeping gestural strokes and drifting wisps of ink — structure giving way to pure motion. The result is a work that feels simultaneously controlled and untamed. Part of the Wabi Sabi Collection, Rolling Thunder embraces the beauty found in raw energy and imperfect expression. Its wide horizontal format makes it a commanding presence above a sofa, fireplace, bed, or executive desk.
