Roll the Dice

In Breaking Free, Emma Ortiz presents a body of work that reflects both personal and creative expansion. Created during the transition into 2026, the twenty paintings mark a process of release and renewal, as Ortiz dismantled internal barriers and allowed the energy of a new season to guide her approach. The works emerged as companions through a period of self-care and self-discovery, offering affirmation and clarity while revealing new emotional and imaginative terrain within her practice. Breaking Free captures an evolving inner world—one that leaves Ortiz rejuvenated and inspired to continue exploring what lies ahead.
