Rola-Chem Flowmeter PVC Top Mount

Commercial-grade flow monitoring designed for easy reading, easy servicing, and reduced mineral buildup. The Rola-Chem Flowmeter is designed for commercial swimming pools, spas, aquatic facilities, and other water circulation systems where maintenance personnel need a dependable way to visually verify system flow. Its wide flow chamber helps reduce mineral deposits and clogging, while the serviceable design allows maintenance crews to open and clean the meter if buildup occurs. Available for multiple PVC pipe sizes and mounting configurations, the Rola-Chem flowmeter is a practical choice for both new installations and replacement of existing commercial flowmeters. Designed for Commercial Pool Maintenance Flow rate is one of the fastest ways for a facility operator or maintenance technician to verify that a circulation system is operating as expected. The Rola-Chem flowmeter provides a clear visual indication of system flow without requiring electronic sensors or complicated controls. Ideal for: Hotels and resorts Apartment and condominium pools YMCA and community pools Schools and universities Municipal aquatic facilities Country clubs Fitness and recreation centers Commercial spas Waterparks and splash facilities Pool service and maintenance companies Why Maintenance Teams Choose Rola-Chem Flowmeters Wide chamber helps reduce clogging The Rola-Chem design uses a wider chamber that helps reduce mineral deposits by allowing a higher volume of water through the meter. Serviceable design If calcium or mineral buildup occurs, the meter can be opened and cleaned instead of automatically requiring replacement. Easy-to-read flow indication The visual scale is calibrated in both Gallons Per Minute (GPM) and Liters Per Minute (LPM). Multiple mounting configurations Rola-Chem offers flowmeters for top, side, and vertical mounting, helping accommodate a wide variety of commercial equipment-room layouts. Built for demanding equipment rooms Durable components, a heavy-duty sealing gasket, and a corrosion-resistant stainless-steel ball make the meter well suited for routine commercial pool operation. Choose the Correct Pipe Size Important: Select the flowmeter based on the actual pipe size where it will be installed. Rola-Chem manufactures different models for each pipe diameter and flow range. Pipe Size Flow Range Rola-Chem Base Model 1" 10–30 GPM 570321 1-1/4" 15–50 GPM 570331 1-1/2" 25–60 GPM 570341 2" 40–140 GPM 570351 2-1/2" 70–240 GPM 570361 3" 100–300 GPM 570371 4" 175–500 GPM 570381 6" 400–1,050 GPM 570391 8" 700–1,900 GPM 570401 Replacing an Existing Rola-Chem Flowmeter? Check the model number on your existing meter whenever possible. Rola-Chem part numbers identify the pipe size, while the final mounting designation identifies the installation orientation. Mounting designations: T = Top Mount S = Side Mount V = Vertical Mount Not sure what you have? Send us the existing model number, pipe size, and a photo of the installation and our commercial pool team can help identify the correct replacement. Installation Clearance Matters For an accurate reading, the flowmeter should be installed on a sufficiently straight section of pipe away from elbows, valves, and other flow restrictions. Pipe Size Minimum Downstream Distance Minimum Upstream Distance 1" 5" 10" 1-1/4" 6" 11" 1-1/2" 8" 15" 2" 10" 20" 2-1/2" 13" 25" 3" 15" 30" 4" 20" 40" 6" 30" 60" 8" 40" 80" The manufacturer specifies a 3/4" diameter hole in the pipe for installation. Built to Be Serviced Commercial equipment rooms are rarely maintenance-free. Calcium, scale, and other mineral deposits can accumulate over time and interfere with flowmeter operation. Rola-Chem designed this meter so maintenance personnel can access and clean the chamber when necessary. That serviceability can make it especially useful in commercial pool environments where equipment is expected to remain in operation for years. Start with the pipe size and mounting orientation. If replacing an existing Rola-Chem meter, match the existing model number whenever possible. Can this replace another brand of flowmeter? Rola-Chem designs these flowmeters to work as replacements in many existing flowmeter applications. Pipe size, flow range, mounting orientation, and available installation clearance should all be verified before ordering. Why is straight pipe required? Elbows, valves, and fittings create turbulence in the water. Installing the flowmeter on a sufficiently straight section of pipe helps provide a more stable and accurate flow reading. Can the flowmeter be cleaned? Yes. The Rola-Chem design is serviceable so accumulated calcium and mineral deposits can be removed if necessary. Does the meter show both GPM and LPM? Yes. The scale is calibrated in both gallons per minute and liters per minute. Is this for Schedule 40 PVC? Yes. Rola-Chem specifies these PVC flowmeters for Schedule 40 PVC pipe.
