Rogers BreakAway Double First Base With Base Plate – Orange

Maximize player safety and ensure regulatory compliance with the Rogers® BreakAway Double First Base. This is a premium safety base designed to reduce collisions at first base while providing the durability and performance demanded by today’s baseball fields. Combining Rogers®’ patented BreakAway® technology with an integrated base plate, this innovative first base system delivers exceptional stability, quick installation, and enhanced player safety. The orange and white design offers outstanding field aesthetics while clearly distinguishing the fielder’s base from the runner’s lane. The white portion serves as the defensive first base, while the orange extension provides a dedicated lane for the batter-runner, helping reduce interference and collisions on close plays. A Safer First Base for Every Level of Baseball Player safety continues to be a top priority for baseball organizations across the country. The Rogers® Orange BreakAway™ Double First Base is engineered to disengage from its base plate when excessive lateral force is applied, helping reduce the risk of ankle, knee, and lower-leg injuries during slides and collisions.  This official-size safety base is engineered to reduce high-impact collisions at first base by providing clearly defined lanes for both the fielder and the runner. Beginning in the 2026 season, the double first base is required for NCAA Division I softball and is newly approved for optional use in NFHS high school baseball, becoming mandatory for high school play in 2027.
