Rock Creek - Spring Fly Box

Fish the Rock Creek like you know it — because now you do.   The Rock Creek Spring Fly Box is hand-curated specifically for the conditions, hatches, and trout behavior you'll encounter on the Rock Creek from April through early June. Spring on Rock Creek brings snowmelt from the Sapphires and rising flows that push fish to the softer water along the edges. Nymphing produces well through May as the creek clears and early hatches begin.   This box is built around the Rock Creek's spring hatch calendar — midges, early BWOs, and March Browns. Every fly was chosen with nymphing slower water and seams along the banks in mind, giving you exactly what you need to match what the fish are eating at this time of year.   What's in the box: 36 flies total — 18 unique patterns, 2 of each — covering stonefly nymphs, midge patterns, March Brown emergers, and small soft hackles. No filler. No patterns that don't belong on this river in this season.   Pro tip from the water: Rock Creek drops and clears quickly after runoff — watch the flows and be ready to fish it in late May when the water turns green and the fish come on the feed.   Whether you're making your first trip to the Rock Creek or you fish it every season, this box gives you a proven starting lineup so you can spend more time fishing and less time digging through bins at the fly shop.   Includes a quality waterproof fly box. All flies are hand-tied to Bozeman FlyWorks standards — the same quality we'd put on our own lines.
