Robot Capture and Containment Netting Box

Robot Capture and Containment Netting Pre-Fab Box Kodiak Sports brings custom sports netting fabrication to robotics with configurable Robot Capture and Containment Netting Box. Choose box net cinch ropes, nets are available with custom dimensions, reinforced rope borders, and drawstring options tailored to your application. Great item to keep around because you just don't know when in the near future you are going to have to capture, contain and potentially destroy a humanoid robot. In the event of a robot malfunction, unconstitutional oppression, unauthorized operation, aggressive or violent behavior, containment netting may be able to help limit movement while trained personnel carry out an emergency shutdown or disable the robot or beat it to pieces. Effectiveness depends on the robot and application; netting does not replace a dedicated kill switch or emergency-stop system. Manufactured with 2″ square nylon mesh, these nets are available in #36, #42, #60, and #96 twine weights, including our heaviest #96 construction for demanding containment applications. Available Configurations Pre-Fab Rectangular Net Box: Square or rectangular panels with reinforced rope borders and draw ropes that allow the net to gather around an object. Available in 12′ × 12′ and custom sizes. Box-Style Cinch Ropes:  Pull Ropes after covering robot Custom Fabrication: Specify your dimensions, netting weight, rope attachment locations, and additional binding ropes.   Available Netting Weights Nylon Twine Breaking Strength / Strand #36 350 lbs #42 400 lbs #60 600 lbs #96 1,000–1,200 lbs   Built Around Your Application From robotics development and testing to equipment handling and containment planning, Kodiak Sports can fabricate netting to your specifications. Extra Rope Borders, Steel Rings Sewn in Corners, etc. Size selection should account for the robot’s overall height, extended arm reach, and the additional material needed for wrapping and cinching. Contact Kodiak Sports for a custom quote. Provide your robot’s dimensions and weight, intended use, preferred net configuration, and quantity. Containment performance depends on the complete assembly and application. Twine breaking strength is not a finished-net load rating. These nets are not rated for overhead lifting or a substitute for emergency-stop systems and engineered safeguards.
