Robert Oster Pink Squirrel Signature Ink

Robert Oster Pink Squirrel Signature Ink is a muted pink with a soft mauve undertone that gives it a slightly dusty, vintage feel rather than a bright or flashy pink. Made by Robert Oster, it’s part of the Signature Ink range that focuses on expressive, shading-heavy colors with natural variation on paper. On writing, it usually appears as a subdued rosy pink that can lean toward purple or even light brown depending on the nib, paper, and ink flow. Lighter strokes tend to look softer and more washed, while wetter writing brings out a deeper mauve-pink tone. The ink is known for its shading, which gives written text a gentle gradient effect instead of a single flat color, making it feel more organic and textured. In everyday use, it flows smoothly and works well for journaling, notes, or personal writing where you want a soft, expressive color. It is not water-resistant, so it can fade or wash out if exposed to moisture, but on good fountain pen paper it performs consistently and keeps its subtle character without being overly dry or overly wet.
