Monumental 'Brute' Painting on Canvas

Perhaps the largest original Robert Loughlin on the planet for sale. 6 feet wide. Circular canvas with orange and black paint. Massive 'Brute' with characteristic cigarette. Excellent condition with COA from the Loughlin estate.  Loughlin was an American artist best known for his recurring character, the “Brute,” a mysterious man with slicked-back hair and a sharp gaze. Emerging from New York’s East Village art scene in the 1980s, Loughlin painted the Brute on found materials like doors, metal, and discarded objects. His work blended street art energy with a distinctive, almost obsessive repetition. Despite living a reclusive and unconventional life, he gained a cult following.  Serious art collections usually have at least one 'Brute' on the wall. Perfect for a hotel lobby or restaurant. Located at our Los Angeles showroom.
